Japanese clothes worldwide

Postby kaonashi » Fri Jun 08, 2007 5:38 pm

Hello :D
I am working for a small web company in Osaka, Japan, and my first task was to make a shopping website to sell Japanese goods for the rest of the world.
The site is still very new and there are not many products yet on it, but we are currently adding some.
The most important thing for us now is to learn what people from outside Japan would like to have.
My boss is not very familiar with fashion, and me neither probably, but I was thinking that maybe it would be good to sell some Japanese brands that are hard to find outside of Japan. I was maybe thinking about Global Work, Takeo Kikuchi, etc.
We will probably put things like kimonos, yukatas, jinbeis, etc. soon. Right now we don't have much, but we do have a ninja outfit, hehe :P
So, please let me know if you have any ideas of what would be good to put on our site.
You can also visit http://www.akinaiblog.com and send us your request/ideas from the form under the left menu.
Thank you for your help

Wow!! This stuff really useful for me. I like Japanese clothes because their designers have always been regarded by the international fashion world as being innovative, forward, and creative. Their designs have crossed borders and have graced catwalks from Milan to Paris, New York to London.

Best Regards,

I read your blog and i thought it was pretty good. And i think your idea is great but I have seen a lot of those kinds of store and they seem to do ok. I think if you want to go good at something like that you would have to go market it 200%.

Great stuff here. The information and the detail were just perfect. I think that your perspective is deep, its just well thought out and really fantastic to see someone who knows how to put these thoughts down so well. Great job on this.
