KASAI RINKAI PARK

Kasai Rinkai Park, Edogawa, Tokyo, features a Ferris Wheel, an aquarium and bird sanctuary. Kasai Rinkai Park is particularly popular in the cherry blossom season.

Kasai Rinkai Park (葛西臨海公園 Kasai Rinkai Kōen), which officially opened on June 1st, 1989, is in Edogawa, Tokyo, Japan. The park includes an aquarium and a bird sanctuary, and was built on reclaimed land that includes two manmade islands, a viewing tower and a hotel.

There is a Ferris wheel (opened in 2001) which, on a clear day, affords those willing to part with 700 yen (current as of 2005) a breathtaking view of Tokyo Bay, Chiba, Edogawa and Tokyo Disneyland - and even Mt Fuji.
