NOZAWA ONSEN

Nozawa Onsen is a ski resort and historic hot spring village. Nozawa Onsen was the site of the first ski lifts in Japan and was the venue for the Biathalon competitions in the Nagano Winter Olympics. Today Nozawa Onsen hosts several major skiing and snowboarding competitions. Nozawa Onsen features thirteen free public onsen around the village, plus some ryokan have their own private onsen. Nozawa Onsen is to the north east of Nagano city.

Directions:
There are direct buses from Nagano Station or take a train from Nagano Station to Togari Nozawa Onsen Station (60 min) and then a bus (20 minutes).
