Osaka City Central Public Hall, a symbol of Nakanoshima area, features two concert halls and a restaurant that serves nostalgic menu items. Osaka City Central Public Hall is a picturesque red-brick Neo-Renaissance building which was built between 1916 and 1918 with funds donated by the stock broker Einosuke Iwamoto. It is worth seeing the beautiful stained glass windows, crystal chandeliers and the dramatic ceiling painting 'Tenchi Kaibyaku', which depicts the creation of the Universe according to Japanese myth.
