Yokohama Cosmo World is an amusement park consists of variety of roller coasters and rides, which can be enjoyed from young children to adults. Its ferris wheel is one of the world largest and illuminates in different patterns at night. Admission fee is free and you pay each attraction ranging from 100 yen to 700 yen.

Minato no Mieru Oka Koen

Minato no Mieru Oka Koen
Minato no Mieru Oka Koen literally means 'Harbor View Park'. Minato no Mieru Oka Koen is a hilltop park overlooking Yokohama Port. The best view point of Yokohama Bay Bridge, especially beautiful at night. There used to be the British and French Embassies here. Rose blossoms in the garden are at their best in spring and autumn.

Yamashita Koen Park

Yamashita Koen Park was built in 1930 by reclaiming Yokohama Port after the Great Kanto Earthquake which destroyed much of Yokohama. The park is spread 1 km wide with several monuments, fountains, trees and flowers.

Nippon Maru - Sail training Ship

Nippon Maru - Sail training Ship
Nippon Maru was built in 1930 as a training ship for cadets. The ship brought up 11,500 cadets for 54 years until her retirement in 1984. The ship has been open to the public since 1985.

Yokohama Landmark Tower

Yokohama Landmark Tower
Yokohama Landmark Tower, measuring at 296 meters high, is the tallest skyscraper and one of the best examples of architecture in Japan. Yokohama Landmark Tower features amazing cutting edge technologies for earthquake protection. Yokohama Landmark Tower is a complex of restaurants, a huge shopping mall, offices, medical clinics, a hotel and an observation deck.

Yokohama Marine Tower

Yokohama Marine Tower
Yokohama Marine Tower was built in 1961 for the 100th anniversary monument of opening Yokohama seaport. It is renovated in 2009. The observation deck is 100 meters above ground and has a 360 degree view and on a very clear day you can even see Mt Fuji.

Yokohama Media Tower
Yokohama Media Tower is a 253 meter high office building of NTT (Nippon Telegraph & Telephone) which was completed in 1999. Yokohama Media Tower is the second tallest tower in Yokohama and is illuminated at night with the colour of the each month.

Hikawa Maru

Hikawa Maru
You will see a large ship mooring in the port in Yamashita Koen Park. It is Hikawa Maru, which started its service as a passenger ship for Japan-Seattle line in 1930. During the WWII, she was sent to Seattle to evacuate Japanese nationals then was fitted as a navy hospital ship. Its first-class cabins attracted many passengers including Japanese Prince and Princess Takamatsu and Charlie Chaplin. After 30-year of her service, Hikawa Maru retired and now serves as a museum.

Yokohama Port Museum

Yokohama Port Museum
Yokohama Port Museum opened in 2009 to exhibit the history of the Port of Yokohama. Nippon Maru and Yokohama Port Museum are located in Nippon Maru Memorial Park. The park was converted from the dockyard into a waterfront park in 1985 and holds many concerts and events throughout the year.
