Introduction

Inuyama is a city famous for its castle, Inuyama Castle, which is one of the best preserved castles in Japan. Inuyama attractions include cormorant fishing on the Kiso River, Urakuen Japanese Garden with its JOAN tea house, which is considered to be one of the top three in Japan, Meiji Mura open air museum and Nihon Monkey Park. Inuyama also features other historical attractions from the time when it was a major administrative center and seat of power. Inuyama is around 23km to the north west of Nagoya.
