Introduction

Shima is a coastal city in the middle of Shima Peninsula and next to the Ise-Shima National Park in eastern Mie Prefecture. Historically and still today, Shima is famous for pearls that come from Ago Bay. Shima is also famous for its oysters which come from Matoya Bay. The coastline around Shima also provides some beautiful coastal views which include the nearby islands.
