Introduction

Kita is one of Tokyo's 23 special wards, and is located to the north of central Tokyo. Name "Kita" literally means northern, so many other cities in Japan also have a "Kita" ward or district. Kita features many parks including Asukayama Park, which is one of main cherry blossom viewing spots in Tokyo, Nanushino Taki Park and Ukima Park. Other Kita attractions include Oji Inari Shrine.
