Unsurprisingly Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is a depressing place to visit, but what was more disappointing was some of the biased or revisionist content in the museum. The message museum seemed to be promoting was that Hiroshima was innocent and they were the worst affected city by the war. Yet Hiroshima city had for a long time had a major military base in the city and many more people died in Tokyo from one fire bombing raid that specifically targeted the residents of the city. Interestingly the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum had a much more balanced view of events.
