When I went to this location, it had just stormed. Fuji was no where in sight. But there was a festival going on all around the river’s edge. It was really fun, and afterwards there were fireworks. I was climbing Fuji at the time and was able to see them from on high. The next morning, I went back to Ubuyagasaki to get a beautiful view of the mountain. Absolutely gorgeous.

Ubuyagasaki really is a great place to photograph Mount Fuji from. The combination of Kawaguchiko in the foreground and Mount Fuji in the background makes some great pictures. Even better if you can be their in cherry blossom season.
