    Book this 2-day tour in the Matsushima area and stay overnight at a local family’s house, experience fishing with a local expert, and enjoy the freshest seafood BBQ. Matsushima is well known as one of Japan’s three most scenic destinations. Enjoy the mesmerizing coastal landscape of Matsushima with over 260 pine-covered islands while your local guide explains the fascinating local history especially about the famous shogunate, Masamune Date, the samurai ruler of the Sendai region who was known as ”Dokuganryu” (one-eyed hero) as he could only see with one eye. where you will enjoy the following unique and local experiences.Day 1 [D]:
    3:00 PM: Meet you guide at Nobiru Station and then check in to the homestay, also called “minshuku” in Japanese, by a local fisherman family. Experience the traditional Japanese style room with tatami floor and spend some time interacting with your friendly hosts.

    3:30 PM: Taking it easy for 2 hours. You can go for biking (self-guided) in Oku-Matsushima. Bike along the coast line and see the beautiful nature, local lifestyle, or stop by some sightseeing attractions, such as Jyomonmura Village Museum, Mt. Otakamori, Saga Valley, and more. Ask your host family for recommendations. Or you can simply relax in your comfortable Japanese style room until dinner time.

    6:00 PM: Enjoy a fresh seafood dinner with your host family. Take this rare opportunity to ask the locals about Japan, Matsushima, and everything else. You will be accompanied by an English interpreter who can assist you with the communication

    Day 2 [L]:
    9:00 AM: Start your day with a unique fishing experience with a local traditional fishing expert and learn some fishing techniques, such as surf fishing, net fishing, basket fishing, etc.

    12:30 PM: Enjoy the freshest seafood BBQ with local fish and ingredients

    2:00 PM: When the tour concludes, you will be transferred to Nobiru Station for your onward journey
